A Historic Season 2021

The 2021 season stands as one of the most significant years in the history of Rinaldi Racing. From a sporting, strategic and emotional perspective, the team set new benchmarks and achieved milestones that had a lasting impact on its profile. Alongside its established presence in GT3 racing, the primary focus was on its commitments within the ACO racing series, with outstanding success.

In the GT3 category, Rinaldi Racing continued to compete in the GT World Challenge Europe, fielding the Ferrari 488 GT3 against strong international competition. Consistent performances and competitive race results once again underlined the team’s strength at European top level.

However, a defining chapter of the season was written in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. With its LMP3 prototype, the team continued to build on its ACO programme and was rewarded for the intensive development work of previous years. At the end of the season, Rinaldi Racing secured an impressive third place in both the Team and Drivers’ Championships. These results confirmed the team’s continuous progress in prototype racing and firmly established Rinaldi Racing within the ACO structure.

Even more significant was the team’s campaign in the Asian Le Mans Series. In a highly competitive championship, Rinaldi Racing delivered an exceptional season. Through consistent and strong performances, the team claimed overall victory in the GT-Am Championship and secured third place in the overall GT standings. Winning the GT-Am title carried historic importance, as it also granted an entry to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021 marked the greatest milestone in the team’s history up to that point. On the Circuit de la Sarthe, Rinaldi Racing made its debut at the most prestigious endurance race in the world. Simply qualifying and taking the start at this iconic event represented a tremendous sporting achievement and highlighted the remarkable development of the team in recent years. Appearing on the biggest stage in international endurance racing was the confirmation of years of dedicated work, strategic planning and technical excellence.
