Ambitious goals and a full program
The racing team will complete all the Blancpain Sprint Series races for the first time in 2015 and has assembled a top-class line-up for the occasion.
The two sports car specialists Marco Seefried and Norbert Siedler will share a Ferrari 458 GT3 in the demanding GT3 racing series and want to fight for podium successes with the Italian sports car. In addition, Rinaldi Racing will compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series with two Ferraris.
“We are very pleased to have been able to put together such a comprehensive program. Both Blancpain series are very demanding. The races take place all over Europe, making them an ideal field of activity for our team. In the Sprint Series, we were able to win two strong drivers in Marco and Norbert. With both of them, we have our sights set on the podium. We also want to establish ourselves in the Blancpain Endurance Series. The preparations for the first race of the year are now in full swing,” says Michele Rinaldi, full of expectation.
For his entire team, the new season has a special star. The racing team from Mendig in the Eifel region is looking forward to a particularly ambitious motorsport programme and wants to turn its know-how into numerous successes. Michele Rinaldi combines many years of experience with tireless ambition in his team. This is how Rinaldi Racing has developed into a firm and competitive force in international GT racing in recent years.
Now the Rinaldi Racing team has succeeded in hiring two true thoroughbred professionals in Marco Seefried and Norbert Siedler. Seefried regularly competes in endurance races around the globe. The 39-year-old’s greatest successes include second place overall in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Norbert Siedler is in no way inferior to him: The 32-year-old’s career achievements include a runner-up finish in the Porsche Supercup, which is considered the world’s toughest one-make cup. In the Blancpain Endurance Series, the two motorsport stars will form a team with Rinat Salikhov. The Russian has already gained experience in the GT3 racing series and now wants to build on this. In the highly competitive championship, Rinaldi Racing will compete with two Ferrari 458 GT3s.
The Blancpain series is a high-calibre GT3 championship that enjoys great popularity among fans and competitors. The Blancpain Sprint Series calendar comprises seven races of the season, while the Blancpain Endurance Series has a total of five rounds. The events of both championships take place at traditional race tracks such as Monza or Brands Hatch. City circuits in Moscow and Baku also provide a lot of variety and excitement.
But that’s not all: Rinaldi Racing will also be part of the action again in the “Green Hell”. VLN races and participation in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring are on the schedule of the team around Michele Rinaldi. In addition, there will be starts in the 24h Series. As early as mid-March, the team will start at the 12-hour race in Mugello.
