The 2019 season was an intense and highly successful year in motorsport for Rinaldi Racing.

The team from Mendig competed on various international GT stages, collecting victories and podium finishes while demonstrating impressive consistency at the highest level of GT racing.

At the heart of the racing year was participation in the Blancpain GT Series, which combined Sprint and Endurance championships and ranked among Europe’s most prestigious GT3 competitions. In 2019, Rinaldi Racing fielded the Ferrari 488 GT3 and achieved remarkable success in both the ProAm and Am categories. Among the season’s highlights were second place in the ProAm Team and Drivers’ Championship in the Blancpain Sprint Series, as well as multiple victories and podium finishes in both Sprint and Endurance Cup events.

A particularly special highlight of the season was the legendary 24 Hours of Spa at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. There, Rinaldi Racing secured victory in the Am class, once again demonstrating its strength in endurance competition – an emotional milestone for drivers, crew, and fans alike.

The team was also a regular contender at other endurance classics. At the 24h-Rennen Nürburgring, Rinaldi achieved respectable overall and class results, while further strong performances followed in the 24H Series.

Technically, 2019 was marked by the continuous development and reliable performance of the Ferrari 488 GT3. The combination of meticulous car preparation, strategic race execution, and strong driver line-ups resulted in one of the most successful seasons in Rinaldi Racing’s recent history.

Collaboration with partners such as WTM Racing also played an important role throughout the year. Particularly in endurance projects, this cooperation proved to be a key factor in both logistical and sporting success.

Another highlight of the season was the team’s participation in the comeback event in South Africa: the Kyalami 9 Hour at the historic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. As the finale of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, the race marked the return of major international GT3 competition to Kyalami for the first time since the 1980s. Rinaldi Racing rose to the challenge of heat, altitude, and strategic race management, gaining valuable international experience on African soil. The participation underlined the team’s global ambitions and provided a fitting conclusion to the 2019 season.

In summary, 2019 was defined by international competition, class victories, podium finishes, and unforgettable motorsport moments. Once again, Rinaldi Racing proved that it competes at the forefront of GT racing and remains a strong force in endurance competition.
